Denika graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Colombo- Sri Lanka in 2011. She completed her PhD at the University of Canberra-Australia in 2023. Her PhD looks at the effects of physiotherapy interventions in people with knee osteoarthritis and how people with knee osteoarthritis perceive post-treatment outcomes to appreciate the treatment as effective.
Denika has experience in physiotherapy management in people with various conditions including Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Cardiorespiratory, Paediatric and Women's health in hospitals, private practices and aged-care in Sri Lanka and Australia.
Her passion is to improve the quality of patient care through current evidence. Denika has completed many continuing professional development courses including Clinical Pilates, dry needling and she is also a registered GLA:D-trained physiotherapist.
